32 killed in major tsunami after 8.9 Japan quake

TOKYO – A powerful tsunami spawned by the largest earthquake in Japan's recorded history slammed the eastern coast Friday, sweeping away boats, cars, homes and people as widespread fires burned out of control. Authorities said at least 32 people were killed.The magnitude 8.9 offshore quake was followed by at least 19 aftershocks, most of them of more than magnitude 6.0. Dozens of cities and villages along a 1,300-mile (2,100-kilometer) stretch of coastline were shaken by violent tremors that reached as far away as Tokyo, hundreds of miles (kilometers) from the epicenter.A tsunami warning was issued for the entire Pacific, including areas as far away as South America, the entire U.S. West Coast, Canada and Alaska.(ARY)

PYO will establish skills development centre with collaboration of K.P.K Govt.

 First centre will be established in Lower Dir in flood affected areas. Chairman PYO

PYO and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Govt. will establish skills development centres in flood affected areas. While briefing to Media Mr. Zaheer Ahmad Gondal Media Director PYO said that Chairman PYO Mr. Inam ul Haq Awan with his delegation conducted meeting with Mr. Munir Gul, Deputy Director, Board of Technical Education, Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Project manager Mr. Hassan Jalil Nasir and Mr. Waheed Khattak also attended this meeting along with other member of board. It was decided to launch new courses in the first phase after rehabilitation of technical institute working under this board and the first IT centre will be established in Chakdara, Lower Dir. Mr. Munir Gul also invited PYO to visit women vocational centre of Neshehra, working under this borad which has been adversely affected due to flood and all the equipments and machinery had been destroyed because flood water remained there almost a couple of weeks. They requested PYO to help out in rehabilitation of this centre as well. It was also unanimously agreed to open such skills development centers in other districts of province for youth and launch new courses in the existing centers.

 

P.Y.O Started Rehabilitation after Relief

The sudden displacement of such a large number of refugees was certainly a mammoth Challenge 

for both  the Govt & NGOs to handle. Pasban youth organization (P.Y.O) was in  the Field to help 

the flood affected People On this worst situation, P.YO immediately responded and started its relief

 Activities in Distt Nowshara, Dir (L) & other arias. The relief operation include food distribution,

 Healthcare, establishment of a camp. These were the initiatives immediately taken by P.Y.O. After

 Relief operation P.Y.O started rehabilitation flood affected People in K.P.K.

 Islamabad,17 Feb,2012 Chairman Pasban youth organization Inam ul haq awan while addressing camp organised at islamabd for missing persons by DHR Amna masood janjua, said that we are not against

security agencies we are against their illegal system and mprisonment of persons without any evidence. If they have any evidence they should present infront of court. we strongly demand that missing persons must be released imediately. Government, supreme court, and law enforcement agencies are directly resposible, if they have no power to resolve this critical issue they must resign. People of Pakistan have given them mandate for their safety not to make their childeren orphans and women to be widows.
Secretary General Pasban youth organization Engineer zahid Gujjar said that civil society,Human rights organizations, judiciary, political parties, and people of pakistan should support this noble cause by each and every possible way with DHR. Organizing such a great 
camp it was very difficult to manage but Amna masud janjua and her team, specially. aad saleem, wahaj us siraj, inam ul haq awan, aziz ur rehman mujahid and other volunteers,made it possible and still they are suffering alot of problems, so I request all of you to help DHR and affected families. He also told that his younger brother is missing since 23rd of july 2010 from Rawalpindi a student of Architecture Engineering.

While working in rescue activities in devastating Earthquake of October 2005, we decided to organize these relief efforts with the help of youngsters. By the grace of almighty Allah we united few youngsters to streamline the relief activities and to formulate proper strategy in a long sitting. The objective of our sitting was to decide how we youngsters can save the precious human lives in the state of emergency. So we laid foundation of Pasban Youth Organization on December 24, 2008. Our mission statement is "to serve humanity with the help of youngsters". Our dream is to prepare such a team of youngsters, who utilize all their energies to save human lives in the state of emergency.
